This slab in frame kitchen is painted in Carbon with Gold Calacatta quartz worktops, with a beaded in frame dresser painted in Chalk Blue. Our customer came into the showroom wanting a real mixture of a shaker and modern kitchen. It had to complement the old Victorian style of the house, look industrial – yet homely, and ideal for a family. Our ‘slab’ in frame was the perfect choice for them!
The simple form of the in-frame slab door allows for flowing and elaborate layouts even on a relatively modest footprint. Blending different levels, colours and shapes makes for an inviting look that would work in any setting. The slab door lends itself to modern and industrials styles, whilst maintaining a classic look. This design showcases a large statement island perfect for this family of four, and a bi folding pantry offering creative storage perfect for hiding away those worktop appliances. The kitchen bridges the gap perfectly of a modern, industrial kitchen with a fun, classic edge.
The use of the contrasting door colour against the gold calacatta worktop adds great depth to the kitchen whilst creating a bold statement. To add a luxe feel to such a traditional building, the customer has chosen brass knurled handles with matching backplates.
